The very basics of PDF remediation are reviewed in this instructional guide including how to properly title and add keywords to your file as well as add tags to artifacts, images, headings and paragraph. Also reviewed are instructions for properly ordering your document's tag-tree. PDFs are a highly portable file format that allow users to download and review a number of different types of articles and forms within various apps and devices. Considering the ubiquity of PDFs, especially within the context of academia and healthcare in general, we need to prioritize their accessibility so that that we ensure their availability to all users. For accessibility issues requiring immediate assistance, or to schedule either a one-on-one or group training session relating to accessible document design, please phone Student Disability Services at 806-743-1864 or email mary.mailler@ttuhsc.edu.
