Dr. Ibrahim completed Psychaitry Residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai/Elmhurst. He completed a two-year Global Mental Health track during residency. Dr. Ibrahim has published multiple articles and presented in many conferences. His research interests lie in the areas of global mental health, positive psychiatry and medical education.
In 2017-2018, the Arnhold Institute for Global Health at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai started a pilot program where 9 senior psychiatry residents offered weekly supervision to MHWs in Liberia.
Dr. Ibrahim will describe the structure and outcome of this program as well as discuss the opportunities and challenges faced by psychiatry residents as well as the MHWs.
