Nick is a research fellow with the Rawls
College of Business. He grew up in Lubbock
and is a proud alumnus of TTU. He attended
Yale for medical school and Harvard for public
policy before working for an impact investing
private equity firm based in Singapore. He
returned to Lubbock to work in economic
development policy three years ago.
Nick's Lecture (Understanding disparities in
Lubbock, TX) will discuss how disparities in
society often are a product and are reinforced
by government policy.
Quantifying disparities in a comprehensive way
is challenging in resource-limited environments
and requires the augmentation of data with
personal narrative in order to convey needed
information. Successful execution can be the
foundation of modern advocacy movements.
