In this video, adding paragraph styles in a Word document is demonstrated as is the process of generating and inserting a preformatted hyperlinked Table of Contents in your document. Paragraph stylizations allow for screen readers to read your document sequentially and also for users to generate their own outlines, which they can then use to locate areas of content and to navigate to them more easily. The Table of Contents will also be hyperlinked as well to the headers, which also contributes to navigability. In the Attachments tab here, you will also find a text and image based Word file outlining all of the steps involved in these processes. As always, if you require immediate assistance, please contact my office by email: mary.mailler@ttuhsc.edu.
